There is much that has been written and said about World War II. Anyone with even a remote interest in history can find a veritable treasure trove of information about this bloody period in world history. While the United States’ involvement was important, that is not the main focus of this book. Rather, the author chooses to bring an analysis from the war largely from the European side of it. This book is packed with information about the battles and strategies that took place in Europe during the war. You will learn about the events that led up to the war, how it eventually ended, and much more in between.

Here's a Preview of What You Will Learn

* The contributing factors that built up to World War II
* Battles in the European theatre of the war
* The rise of Hitler and the Nazi party in Germany

America’s involvement in the Second World War may not have been there at the start of the conflict, but once they declared their involvement, the fighting was just as intense. Much of the American fighting took place in the Pacific/Asian area of the globe, and with that came a way to do battle that was much different from the fighting in Europe. Learn about the events that led up to America’s involvement in World War II, as well as the nuances of fighting on the sea, in the air, and on the land of the Pacific Theater.

Here's a Preview of What You Will Learn

* Japan’s expansion
* The attack on Pearl Harbor
* The American decision to declare war
* The Battle of Midway
* The bombing of Japan

Comments From Other Readers

“This book is surprisingly detailed for having such a relatively short length. I was expecting only a cursory glance at the highlights of the war, but the author did a fine job of covering a wealth of information and trivia that many may not know.” – Geoff B. (London, UK)

“Great read for the history buff. The information covered here is comprehensive, yet simple to read and comprehend. For anyone who wants a complete, thorough analysis of the war without having to read an encyclopedia, grab a copy of this one.” – Mark O. (Gadsden, USA)

“When one thinks of the fighting in World War II, the Pacific and Asian areas are sometimes overlooked because of the focus on the action in Europe. However, it is important to note that the struggle over the Pacific Ocean and Japanese front are just as crucial as other parts of the war. This book is a good reminder of the details of this side of the conflict.” – Wes L. (Highspire, USA)

“America’s involvement in the Second World War stretched far beyond the European front and D-Day. The author follows the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and makes the connection to this event and the fighting in the Pacific Theater by land, air, and sea. Very informative read.” – Weston D. (London, UK)

World War 2 BOX SET #2 A Brief History of the European Theatre + the Pacific Theatre eBook Ryan Jenkins

Ryan Jenkins, is an accomplished historian and gifted writer, who is best known for an extensive series of concise historical texts regarding almost every major aspect of World War 2 (WW 2). Each book in that series is designed to educate about critical events during the course of the war and the soldiers, marines, airmen, and sailor who fought, and died during these events. I have had the pleasure of reading many of his books and his stated goal in each of them is to encourage readers to enjoy history and more particular to conduct further research and read more about the deadly and costly war in hunan history. The focus on this book is a two section series on the two major theaters of operation in WW 2, the European and Pacific Theaters.

Volumn 1; “World War II: A Brief History of the European Theatre.” World War claimed the lives of perhaps sixty million people worldwide. The war in Europe began in 1939 with the German attack upon Poland and the subsequent declaration of war on Germany by Poland's allies, Great Britain and France. This volumn details the key events and operations that led to the unconditional surrender of first Italy and finally Germany in May 1945.

Section 2: "Second World War in the Pacific Theater". Operations in the Pacific Theater were as different from that of the European Theatre as night is from day This theater was primarily an American War against the Japanese Empire. Fighting took place across the space of not only the vast Pacific Ocean, but also of Southeast and Southwest Asia (Burma, India), and the vast countryside and cities of China, from north to south. The war was fought in the air over American territory at Pearl Harbor and on land on the Alaskan Islands of Attu and Kiska. Eventually, the battle came to Japan, the cities of which were utterly destroyed by both conventional and atomic bombs by the time the war was ended in August 1945.

I am often asked why I spend so much time reading, studying, and writing about war. Borrowing liberally from the author "as long as there are people on this planet, there will be wars and there will be bloodshed. The best way to prevent future wars is to educate our children on the causes of war, and how to properly socialize with other countries to prevent international incidents." It is smart to teach our children how to handle wars and prepare them for upcoming wars they are bound to take part in. That is why, it is very important to know more about the past, about our history. History teachs what happened before and can help prevent further sufferings of war in the future; and if war does start, we will know how to deal with it.

World War 2 BOX SET #2 A Brief History of the European Theatre + the Pacific Theatre eBook Ryan Jenkins Reviews

This book is the best yo can ask for about the wars of the world definitely a should read book
A great boxed set!! I've been reading many of Ryan Jenkins' books primarily on the topic of WWII. Like all of Jenkins' books, these books are concise and packed with great information. Jenkins always finds specific facts about the general topic of WWII and develops it, This was very interesting. The first book offers a brief history of the European theater and the second covers Japanese and Pacific theaters. The books are informative and packed with intriguing factual information. This information was completely new to me - this was refreshing to learn something new. I would recommend this to anyone interesting in learning something new related to WWII.
Great summaries. Quick reads packed with lots of good information.
If we are all scared of any imminent World Wars it is because the impact the 2 World Wars in the last century had on our lives and on our psyche and especially the Second World War. Even after decades have passed since the war we can still see the remnants of its devastating effect. The death, destruction and general loss that was caused by it has been a suitable deterrent so far. This ebook which deals with the European theatre on the one hand and the Pacific theatre on the other gives us a whole view of the war as it was, affecting almost every country in the world some way or the other.
The book begins when the First World War ends and how Germany slowly initiates the origins of the Second World War. It goes onto talk about the other powers involved like the Soviet and Italy and the final showdown leading to the German defeat. The second book deals with the main ally that Germany had during the war – Japan and its conflict with the US. It took place mainly over the Pacific Ocean and the islands in it, hence the name – Pacific theatre.
The book can be read to get a basic overview of the Second World War.
This book is very helpful, these are really interesting references for WW II. There is some interesting details about European theatre, which is really hard to find. I really love studying things about WW II, this book really helped to gain some more knowledge.
This is a box set that includes two really well organized books about the pacific theater and the European theater during WW2. It's very easy to understand, so it's perfect for someone like me, who gets timelines mixed up easily. They were both very quick reads so if you don't have a lot of time or patience for reading or learning about history in general, this is a great deal to get two books for a great price.
This book is two books in one. The first book is about events in the European Theatre during World War 2. There is information on how the previous world war ended and how World War 2 broke out. There is also information on what was happening in Poland, Germany, and Italy, and how the war ended.

The second book is about events in the Pacific Theatre during World War 2. There is information on what was happening in Japan and their part in the war. This includes the attack at Pearl Harbor and the events that unfolded in retaliation to that attack.

I would recommend this book to anyone that is interested in World War 2 history.
